Attunement 201
Biomechanics- Horse & Rider
Attunement 201 is your opportunity to transform as a rider and as an athlete. It's designed to deepen your self-awareness, refining your balance in the saddle, emotions, and energy. As you refine your communication with your horse through your seat, hands, and intention, you'll grow in confidence and physical strength. You’ll not only elevate your physical skills but also unlock a deeper emotional connection with your horse, bringing a new level of clarity, confidence, and synergy to every ride. This is more than just training—it's a journey of personal growth and partnership, where both you and your horse will thrive.
Aim of Course for the Student:
Completion of Refined Figure 8
Increase Emotional awareness for the rider
Call the hind/foot fall
Micro-movement: abs/core/hips
Refine hands and get seat out of the way
Hips-feet-knees
Unlock Pelvis and Pelvic floor
Aim of Course for the Horse:
Build confidence regardless of ground conditions: Did you know it’s common for horses to “misfire” ques in moving their feet? Through tapping your horse will begin to streamline the neuro-networks to ensure they have direct communication from their brain to their hooves.
Build confidence & strength from the ground: Through liberty work you’ll teach your horse to move with ease, natural collection and their ability to take responsibility to increase the efficiency of their movements. Watch their lung capacity expand and their topline fill through the transitional work you do on the ground at liberty. They’ll become more confident in their movement and learn to adjust their posture for more fluidity and balance.
Shape Through Extension, Flexion, and Rotation: We will introduce your horse to exercises that promote proper stretching, bending, and rotation. This will unlock their flexibility, improve their posture, and enhance their athleticism and their ability to properly flex through their joints.
Balance at Liberty & Yielding: Your horse will learn to maintain balance, even in the most challenging of movements, and respond to yielding cues with greater precision and confidence. These foundational skills will elevate each run as they propel and hold themselves through the turn.
Head/Neck Impulsion & “The Pump”: A major focus will be on creating impulsion from the hindquarters, allowing your horse to engage their core and develop a natural rhythm and flow. This will increase their energy and improve overall movement dynamics.
Increased Lung Capacity: Through strategic exercises, your horse will improve their lung capacity, building stamina and strength for more sustained work and better performance over time. See your horse’s conditioning and lung capacity improve without typical drills, or long trotting during the week.
